Thats an idea... a daily devotional section.

Not in the Payments forum, however - unless there's some inherently untenable suggestion that these be paid for.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

I say "Not in the Forums, period!" Personally, I would find it highly offensive if FC allowed this. This is NOT a biblical clearing house for Christian members only. It is a site [primarily] designed to make FC and the members of FC money, the Forums are a 'bonus', literally and figuratively. When saying 'daily devotional', I (and I'm sure almost 100% of others seeing it) immediately think Bible passages. Anyone care to predict what would happen if our members who are or who follow teachings of the Quran/Koran, Santerķa (voodooism), Borucas (believe in the devil and believe he protects nature/animals/surroundings) decided to post devotionals from their respective 'religions' which go against any and all beliefs in the Christian God? Fingers would be burning up keyboards in order to argue against the heresy and blasphemy those 'non-Christians' have every right to post.

If members want to put their little gems of [Xtian] wisdom on a website, they can go to any 1 of the thousands of religious communities out in cyberspace! This is still America, I still vote, I still do not believe in God, I still work and pay taxes to keep my freedom and every other citizen's freedom alive, and because of this, I still have a voice and a vote....and I will NOT surrender either of those so this site can cater to Christians. If this idea were to go through and gain approval, I want MY own subtopic in order to give a 'daily' health thought and/or tip, notifications of new drugs and treatments - anything pertaining to taking care of our bodies. Ridiculous? Yes. However, it's NOT as ridiculous as the thought of filling endless pages with tokens of scripture on an incentive based website! :(

Some people are "letter of the law"  and feel better about their self if they think they know more than someone else.  Then there are those who think their purpose in life is to "rain on someones' parade".

Truthfully, those people are the ones making a fool of their selves.  Don't take it personally.  We all do our best and we all make mistakes.  There is room for flexibility and patience for those who are learning to use the forum.

Consider the fact that no one has the power to make us feel a certain way.  We choose how we feel so refuse to take it personally...even if you think someone else...wants you to take it personally.

Have a great day!

I don't know if my post above is making me this person:"wish i knew how to copy someones comment then you would all see who i was talking about", but if I am that person, it is fine with me. I was NOT belittling anyone and do NOT feel/think I am "superior". I make my own share of mistakes also. However, I do think that someone like the OP, madeara, really ought to be able to post in the correct place in the Forums after being here as long as she has:
I have been a member for nine years in December.  Fusioncash is a terrific website.  I have also referred several friends to Fusioncash.

Now, I realize the Forums have not been here that long, but they have been here for the last ~5 years that madeara has, just under a different screenname than she started with. I apologize if my not being religious, believing in God anymore and making it clear I do NOT feel there should be a special place for biblical/scriptural quotes on FC is 'belittling' or 'superior', but I don't think FC needs to or should cater to all of you who are Christians.

Not only do I completely agree with your above points without reservation, the OP has already been spamming multiple forums and multiple threads, (and therefore doesn't need such spamming to be FC-sanctioned by having a separate forum because the OP and others have demonstrated that they'll spam any forum/thread with their religious beliefs).  Isn't that offensive enough?  Somehow, I find it doubtful that FC will comply with such a 'suggestion-listed-under-payments' when the "Off Topic" forum already exists.

No doubt many of the xtians who'd wish to flood the forums with such off topic stuff would continue to complain when viewpoints which dissent with their religious beliefs are posted in opposition, (a hypocritical stance since no one has pushed for a reciprocal 'banning'/censorship of those religious posts ).

Ridiculous? Yes. However, it's NOT as ridiculous as the thought of filling endless pages with tokens of scripture on an incentive based website! :(

Well-said however, the probability that the xtians posting 'bible passages' & 'inspirational' propaganda wll continue doing so is very high.  Coincidentally, the probability of dissenting viewpoints being posted in opposition to such evangelising propaganda is extremely high.

well im guessing if you don't like the topics you are not forced into participating in the forum. You're in the minority being a non Christian and minorities (as seen in the past get stepped on) so either accept it or go to ONE OF THOSE 1000s OF ATHIEST FORUMS and complain about it there... If you don't like the way this site "scaters to Christians"? then don't be a part of it its simple

Also you and Falcon and anyone else commenting on this thread (yes including me) are contributing to the thread which is in the wrong place so you are as wrong as the OP.  :binkybaby: So if a post in the wrong topic ruffles your daily life and feathers you feel the need to comment about it your life must be very dull... take up a hobby possibly sewing? :dontknow:

Here's the dilemma in such an instance; in order to indicate that a subject has been posted in an unrelated forum, a post gets made in that same forum which indicates the contention.  It's a bit of a catch-22 situation which can easily be resolved in one of three ways; members can cease posting to the thread once it's been pointed out that the subject doesn't fit the forum, the thread can be reposted by anyone into a forum where it's topical, (or, off topic), the thread can be moved or locked by Admin.
