Do you know what Hmong is? Have you ever seen Grand Torino with Clint Eastwood?

Well, the characters are Hmong. Like Clint in the movie, most people who've never heard of it
would pronounce this alien word "Hmong" as "Ha-mong." Well, it's just, "hmong"

That's of no help i realize. LOL But the trick is to pronounce "mong" but have a soft "h" sound in between.

It's almost like, "m-oh-ng" Its like when you react with a huuuuuh. But replace the u with an o.

Hmong is a tonal language and is not easy to read.

I've heard of the Hmong people, but I didn't know exactly who they were.  According to Wikipedia they are an Asian ethnic group from the mountainous regions of China, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand.  Thanks for giving us an idea of how it's pronounced. lol.  Those tonal languages do look difficult to learn though...About Gran Torino, I never actually seen the whole movie.
