captcha problems
« on: April 27, 2012, 03:00:24 pm »
anyone else having problems reading the captcha for daily offers and email? some days it's okay, then it goes for a day or 2 with a bunch of scribbles. I just went through about 20 of them and finally gave up and had to listen, and that's not much better..
I had 3 other people look at a few of them and we all came up with different spellings and I dought they were right. I think my 2 year old grandson could do better than most of them I seen today..

If you are unable to read the captcha initially presented, there is an option to try a new one, (and if you can't read the next, select another until you can read the capcha).
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Some of them can be difficult to read, and if it's really bad, refreshing the captha is the only way.

Don't think there is a penalty if you try the capcha and it fails -- it just asks you to try again with a new one.

I have learned from doing them -- it's like reading someone's bad handwriting -- after a while you get to know what it says -- but it involves some trial and error.

like my post says I refreshed it about 20 times yesterday before giving up and listning instead. I was just wondering if I was the only one to have an issue with it. thanks for the replies..

Yes the captcha puzzles were a bit ridiculous today! I must have refreshed approx 15 times!

That has happened to me on occasion - more than likely the person who developed those captchas was on a roll that day!  You just got stuck with someone's weird captchas all in a row....
End the suffering!  Get your cats - and all strays and ferals - spayed and neutered!

I'm glad I'm not the only one, I thought my vision took a fast dive. I wish they would stick to describing a brand or the captcha that moves around the page. at least I don't have to spend half a day trying to make .15 or .02   :dontknow:

I've also noticed this but I just thought it was me and not figuring out what letters it's showing.  There are times when I refresh a lot through them just to see one that looks like I can read most of it.  Sometimes it's a guessing game but I suggest just refreshing because it doesn't take awhile to refresh, and just find one that you can read.  I'm not sure why they make it so hard to read, I'm guessing for security purposes?
