Do you work outside the home?
« on: May 18, 2012, 04:22:08 am »
I haven't worked at a "REAL" job for almost 3 years.  Unfortunately I am now in a position that I must return to work.... really not looking forward to it but you do what you have to do.  Hope I can find something that is enjoyable or at least not so stressful!!!

Kind of bummed because a project, at a company that I love, finished last week after a year of great pay and benefits.  I have a second job that covers expenses at a reasonable level but my family has adjusted their expenses to my double income!  I am interviewing today at several places.  The company that I left last week has a few projects coming up and has contacted me but I get dedicated to whoever gives me a job first.  Somewhat chaotic with everyone calling me to come work for them but Iguess it could be worse and nobody was interested.  I was in this same position last year at this time. I also need a vacation but with doing project work I don't foresee that happening in the near future.  It has been over a year since I had a vacation.

I do work outside the home but I am taking a course that would allow me in the future to work at home if the opportunity was there so it's a good option to have, being able to make my own schedule in a few years. Any job that someone can get now is a good thing because it is really hard out there and people need to make a lot of sacrifices to start over, that's what I'm doing and I'm proud of myself for it

How very fortunate you are to have a regular job and also be able to pick and choose on a 2nd job.  I have been out of work for almost 3 years and it is hard to find a job.  I have had several short term jobs, but nothing that is long term.  AND I DO NEED A JOB.  My husband is now on complete disability, so we are between the old rock and a hard spot!  :BangHead:  I have several very part time jobs, all sort of on demand, as people need the work done.    Notary public, Certified Signing Agent, Trusted enrollment agent,  I sell  a juice for health and weight loss (that is fabulous), FC plus about 6 other sites.  I am the queen of couponing, we don't buy, eat  or go anywhere without using a coupon or discount!    So, I work outside of the home, and  inside the home, and anywhere else I can get work!  LOL      It has got to get better, because it cannot get any worse.  We are fortunate we have been in our home long enough that we have payments lower than most renters!

Yes I do.  I really enjoy my job.

I work as a Care Giver for some men who live in a group home because they cannot care for themselves.
2 of them have been in accidents and suffered traumatic brain injuries.

These men are fun to be with and they appreciate the help/care that all of us on staff provide.

Online is my main income, but since I enjoy my job, I plan to keep it.

Yes I work outside the home.  My main goal is to work from home and be my own boss.  I want the freedom of not being on anyone else's clock but my own.  I will get there eventually.

I worked at the place I retired from for 32 years.  Now I have been working at Walmart as a people greeter for 8 years.  I have been blessed with good health.  May God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I do not work outside the home, but since I home school two kids and chase a toddler around the house all day, I get lots of work inside the home  ;D
I do help my husband as an accountant in his small business and do lots of odds and ends online like this one :) Fusion Cash really has turned out to be quite a good fit for me.  :)

I have a full-time job as a medical transcriptionist which fortunately is a career that can be done from home.  So while I get a regular paycheck, I do not have to leave home.  Best of both worlds.
