Why do people say that FC is better because of the forum when....

I have read many post saying FC was the best site because of the forum and when you go to respond to some post and read down the one or few pages you always run into someone belittling a post and making that person feel like a moron or just pissing them off because you have nothing better to do than look for something someone said and then saying something rude or sarcastic about it so i have made it a habit to not look at someones post and just go past it. No one is perfect and even the ones criticizing others make mistakes so please make this enjoyable I want to make my $3 bonus each month as do many

sometimes it is hard coming up with a new topic that you feel others will be passionate about and take the time to respond to.

I agree. I try to not respond to most comments. I just respond to the posts to make my $3 also.

I hear ya.  It's so annoying when everyone doesn't agree with everything I say no matter how absurd it may be.  This forum is for the sole purpose of making me feel good.  When I say something wrong I do not want to be corrected.  No one is smarter than me, we all have equal intelligence, equal talent, and equal looks.

at least we get 3 bucks for saying our opinions on things. i mostly just say what i have to say and never read what people respond to what i say.

Although such limited forum participation is probably fine as long as it consists of posting in a contributory manner, (as described by FC under paid to post), not reading responses to posts sounds a lot like just posting for the $3 bonus.

It prob'ly wouldn't be so much of a problem if people would keep the really juicy arguments in the Debates forum (eg topics on religion, politics, etc) and leave the general Off Topic for the more inane topics (eg "Which do you like better -- Snickers or Twix?") You tend to find more of the flaming going on with the politics / religion topics so if they kept those topics in the Debates section, those that don't like such heated arguments wouldn't have to go to that section.

Hypothetically, your suggestion would alleviate much of the specious 'complaining' concerning such "juicy arguments" however, (most of the time), the ones initiating them by posting contentious remarks randomly in other forums are unlikely to catch a clue ... even if they were to rub 'clue-musk' all over themselves and stand out in a 'clue-field' during 'clue mating-season'.

Honestly, when I comment I try to keep it as light and airy as possible, probably boring so I don't think anyone really responds to my comments.  Then again, I always forget what I've commented on and move on, so I never really see if anyone's tried having a discussion with me.  Oops!
