My MIL is visiting for a month.  There is stress.  There is also heavy drinking involved - mine.

I don't mind, but I understand what you mean, you feel pressure to entertain them and you don't get to watch around in pjs all day if you wanted lol.

I LOVE houseguests...it's so fun!  I love to pamper and give and let it be a place of pleasure and rest for people who come over.  I just want them to feel at home, or just comfortable!

i'm the same way. i'm expecting our first ''guest'' to stay over
at our new place next month and i've been planning the menu,
washing extra sheets and pillow cases, etc. i'm sure she'll
laugh at me  :P guests are fun though.
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

It all depends on who they are and how long it has been since i seen them.  Like tonight I have my 8 year old niece whom I haven't seen since September of 2009 and tomorrow her sisters and her mom will be here.

Not really to the age and/or situation in my life where I would say I ever have house guests.  A friend might crash on the couch every once and a while but I wouldn't consider that a house guest.  So I guess I will have to wait and see how I feel about having such guests.

I like having guests at my house however, sometimes I get really paranoid because I don't know if they feel welcomed enough, OR sometimes I think I'm trying so hard for them to feel welcomed and I just freak them out  :-[

I never get just house guest I end up with them moving in.  If its not my siblings and there family its my husbands brothers but I don't have to worr about there family cuz it just them.  But crap cleaning after them is worse than cleaning after the kids.  I get overwhelmed and discouraged. I must of aged 5 years this last year.

Hahaha, I'm the same as you, I just don't want them to feel the slightest discomfort, and I like having my house with people in it so I also don't want to let them leave hehe  ;D
