Be careful!  Run antivirus software at all times and don't download anything to your computer.

:angry7: I was feeling very positive working online and viewing websites to get paid for clicking and noticed that my computer was slowing down. My computer was taking a long time just to change to another website and then I noticed that my virus scan had a RED "X" then a RED "!". I could not start my security center started.

I remembered a website that would allow me to do a free scan, so I did it and oh my goodness, there was a lot of viruses and some of them said the threat level were listed as severe.

??? So why in the world would I continue to try to make a few $0.01 just to cause over $200 worth of damage to my computer.

You should remember so many of these so called companies will have popups to tell you that your computer is in danger because of viruses.  That is their scam in order for you to run a scan on your computer using their software, but in order for them to clear the viruses, there is a fee.  The problem is not with FC its with programs like that.  If you do downloads you never know what is on the back end of them, so you have to be very careful.

I use the free version of AGV and am very happy with it.  I agree that Norton doesn't  always block everything.  AGV has saved my a@@ on more than one occasion!
Same here for me! I used to have Norton but I didn't like it so I decided to switch to AVG, it's a really good AV.

I have gotten a visus on most of the websites I use to do surveys, including this one.  I try to be very careful, but I still get them.

My computer tech says my computer is like Fort Knox.  I also know what it is like to call him pulling my hair out because someone opens the wrong thing or went to the wrong site.  I have Kaspersky Anti-Virus, McAfee Security Scan Plus, FixCleaner, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.  I feel my computer is my money maker and it needs to be safe. :)

Your computer tech is handing you a false sense of security and that in itself can be dangerous. He has no way of knowing what will arrive on the scene tomorrow or the next day and the ONLY way to be sure is to simply not use your computer online, especially where you could encounter the stuff mentioned above.

What I just did is buy an old laptop on Ebay for $21.50 that had no hard drive to get infected, then I use a USB flash memory stick ($5 at Office Depot) with Browser Linux and Firefox loaded on it to boot and run the machine. Now I can GUARANTEE my Windows computer is safe, they can't touch it!!! I can also carry it in to the TV room at night and play online while I watch TV programs.

I read so many replies that say, "I must be OK because it doesn't happen to me".

JUST WAIT!

If you use Windows to surf websites online to make money, it's just a matter of time. I made a living with computers for 30 years and thought I know how to stay safe, but I eventually got bit too. NO ONE can avoid this unless they change their ways!

I never download anything anymore on these money-making sites because every time I did, I'd get a trojan or virus.

what you need is, a reliable virus protection program that updates daily, otherwise you might as well not even have a virus protection program. even some of the free ones update daily. I've been a member of Fusion Cash for 3 years now and i have yet to get a virus. even if i would get a virus I would remove it myself so I could save on the high cost of removal. good luck
