Heart Palpatations,chest and left arm pain and difficulty breathing.

I have had palpatations most of my adult life but they have gotten worse in the last 8 months. Just a week ago they were accompanied by chest pain and pain in my left arm and hand and shortness of breath. Anyone experience these symptoms? I have been to the ER twice and they found nothing. Awaiting test results for an echocardiogram and i have a doctors appt tomorrow. It seems the symptoms have gotten better over the last week. But it is still un-nerving. Any input would be wonderful Thanks

I have known people to have some of the same symptoms that you are experiencing and finally after many tests they were diagnosed with panic attacks..due to stress.  I am glad your symptoms are getting better!

I experienced the same thing in 1988. It was stress and anxiety. After a year of medication and counsel it got better. However, it took another 20 years for me to figure out the source of the problem and get away from her. Now I am cured.

Sounds like panic attacks.

Panic attacks. The doctor wouldn't be able to help you unless they have a background in Psychology.

Thanks everyone for your input! I was think panic attacks too but I really dont have anything to be stressed over. At least I don't think I do...Panic attacks usually only last for 20 minutes to an hour then the symptoms go away...hmmm well my doctor will hopfully have answers for me today. I had another episode yesterday afternoon. I took m y boys to out local swimming hole and I just laying there on my blanket and I started having palpatations and so I took my pulse and it was 96. And I was just laying there. Thought it was kinda weird. But thanks again!

I am with everyone else here when I say PANIC ATTACK.  It can be a very small thing that sets it off also!  An odor... a thought... anything and you don't have to even be aware of it!  The mind and body is an amazing thing!  My money is on that.  However, I am not a doctor, I just play one on TV....

Go see a Cardiologist immediately, you need to see an expert. The ER is good for emergencies, you sound like you need on going care. You did the right thing going in a lot of people ignore these symptoms. Take care of your health.

I went  to my dr and they say everything is normal. They did a series of tests. Im gonna have an event monitor put on in the middle of July and hope if there is anything wrong that it will pick it up. I am feeling better but not 100%. Thanks everyone for the input I very much appreciate it.
