ring found
« on: June 21, 2012, 06:19:23 pm »
I just read a story about a woman in Minnesota who found a $6,500 diamond ring in a pair of jeans from Goodwill. She's trying to find the rightful owner. It's really nice to know there are still honest people out there who will do the right thing without hesitation.

She should be very careful.  Toss the thing in the fire for a while, and see if any fiery letters appear.  If they do, she's pretty much SOL.

Why can't more people like that live near me?  I'm getting rather tired of the people who come into my work while it's pouring rain outside, pay to play, walk outside again and then complain that it's raining.  I feel like I'm just surrounded by selfish people all the time.  I know that's not always the case, but it seems like the nice people sorta get wiped out by the other ones.

What an awesome story my hats off to her.. I hope she finds the right owner.  I would request
pictures and proof  somehow of the owner wearing the ring before releasing it to anyone though.

I think I would do the same thing. Its a good thing she found it and not someone at the goodwill cause chances are they wouldnt have given it back.

I think it will be pretty easy to find the rightful owner. She would be the one with the big tears on her face. I think this lady is an angel to return the ring you never know the story behind these things, whose heart may be breaking or why. It's always best to do the right thing. Good things always happen when you do. :) :) :)

How wonderful.  I love to hear stories where Good People get some press instead of all the bad things.  I always try to do the right thing too but if she doesn't find the owner maybe it is God's way of bringing something good to her life.  A blessing .... I have had many of those in my life.

Honesty is something that is hard to come by these days. I think that is wonderful of that woman to look for the owner.

That is an awesome story, your right not to many people would even attempt to return a ring with such extreme value. I commend her and her excellent moral standards

If I had found a ring of that kind of value I would have simply called management there without giving any description of the ring and have owner contact me directly for the details of it. I guess call police too...only if you don't have to give them a detail of it...just "ring found at Good Will...contact...."

I do give kudos to the finder of it. Most people would have not said a word and kept it.
