having problems posting payment

Everytime I try to post a copy of my check it takes to long and than says that subject is closed but I go back everyday and see that other were able to post there so what am I doning wrong I scaned my check and saved to my computer.  This is my second check and I am doing it just the way I did it the first time its just not working and sugestions?
