Now this is a holiday worth celebrating.  Guess we will have to dig the old ice cream maker out of the garage and make a quick trip to Walmart for some salt and cream.  Now to go and poll the audience to see what flavors we are gonna have to make.  Can't for the life of me believe that they will let me just make plain ol vanilla.

LOL, didn't know we had a National Ice Cream Day. 

My husband took my son and I for ice cream and strawberry milkshake today, and we didn't even know.

Ya see how eager I was to celebrate...I ate a snickers ice-cream bar yesterday...Pre national ice cream day.  I didn't even know there was such a thing.  Since I cheated on my diet yesterday I need to hold off on treats now for a while.

It's REALLY worth celebrating this year I think, because sgluckadoo first posted this on the 15th, and today is the 20th.
So that makes National Ice Cream Day - -
5 days long (and counting) this year!!
