my wife always says she wants to have me preserved if I die first so she can use my body on Halloween to scare people.  She's kinda sick like that.

I wouldn't. Stuffing animals is as stupid as burying people. Both are a waste of space.

I am a strong believer in the rights of animals and PETA. I am vegan, so I could not stuff any dead animal. That is just not right. I love my pet cat Felix, but I would never think of stuffing him and preserving his body remains! I think that is just sick!  :crybaby2:
I love animals!

Well, I wouldn't do it, but the Egyptians did. They buried their pets with them as mummy-cats! :cat:

ur right its on the wrong discussion bored im new to this so excuse me :D well i preserve my animals it makes me feel better to see them still even though they passed i have rats so there easy to preserve no harming there bodys rubbing alcohol works the same as formaldehyde so i just put the rubbing alcohol in the jar and then my animal seal it and it stays that way forever i dont dissect them and i dont think theres anything wrong with using an animal thats already dead. taxidermy is something i wanna try of course u dont use the meat of the animal u just use there pelt

If you've hunted like my family has for many years, then you want trophies of your best kills. There's nothing wrong with that. I've also seen some amazing taxidermy in even the smallest park visitor centers, of local wildlife. It's an educational tool.

I really wouldn't preserve any animal. But if I was hungry I would eat anything walking.

Only animal I would consider stuffing and preserving is a turkey, after it's out the oven it's over!!  ;D

i think all endangered species need to have 1 preserved specimen, to study, in case they do become extinc, or to see if maybe something can be done to bring the species back to a healthy levelt
