how to post referrals to facebook

can anyone tell me how to post referrals to facebook?

I vaguely remember reading something on this website a few months ago, that made me think that you cannot do it.  I think it may be against facebook's rules, etc.  I think I read that in this forum under a "like us on facebook" discussion where they were talking about why the offer was no longer available.  You could probably list the shortened referral link as your website or something, but I don't think that would really help with referrals.

Facebook doesn't allow people to post referral links. I have recently seen some things posted in comments, but I'm not sure if they were referral links or just links to the home page of a site.
