Do you remember your favorite toys as a kid?

I just thought it would be fun to talk about toys we had to play with that we never see today.  I had electronic toys, but not like the kids today.  Does anyone remember the 2XL talking robot that you put tapes into and it quizzed you in different categories? What about a red handheld light game called Merlin? Or an electronic game called Quiz Whiz that just had numbers and A B C D and enter on it and you could get about a hundred different quiz books for it?  These were a few of my favorite toys.  What were toys you had we never see any more?

My favorite was an Erector Set, which for those too young to remember was steel girders you could bolt together and motorize to build all kinds of fascinating Rube Goldberg contraptions.

My favorite toys were my Jane and Johnny West action figure dolls and their horses, Thunderbolt, Thundercolt, and Poncho.  I still have them!!

I did not play with action toys since I am a girl. But my favorite toy was Hi Hidi. It was a small doll named Hidi probably about three inches tall. Once her stomach was pressed her arm raised up like she was waving to you. Back in the '60s was great, she had all her friends from different countries dressed in their native clothes. She had a play house that lit up and a movie projector that really played movies, it was so tiny you could barley see the movies. But It was fun, I don't know what happened to it. But I really liked it.

I remember that set  my oldest brother had one, we (the younger one's) could not touch that thing.  get in trouble.LOL

I inherited my erector set from my uncle. I loved playing with that as well as Legos. I'd build marble ramps with my Legos and see how high I could make it with the marbles still rolling down to the bottom. I also enjoyed Matchbox / Hotwheels cars. My parents found a tub full of tracks for those cars, and I'd build these courses starting at the deck on the 2nd floor and going for a good 25-50 feet long, with loops and everything. Unfortunately I also tended to ruin a lot of my cars by taking them into the neighbor's sandbox...

My big wheel was my favorite mode of transportation and my baby doll Tina.

  g.i.joe was my favorite. then anything having to do with army men. i loved to play war.

Cabbage patch kids although Im not sure they actually stopped making them.

Mine was a baseball mitt. I was a tomboy and all my neighbors were boys. The only 2 girls were too little toplay with. Still like sports.

One of my favorite memories was getting the train out every Christmas.
It was a special treat which we only got to play with one month a year.

My hot wheels cars. I use to race them around the house for hours.

Hot Wheels Sizzlers where you can juice up the cars and place them on an orange track and watch them race. A close second place are the AFX cars.
