Thank you for the fantasy league.  I am all signed up, marys stars.  They will kick butt lol.
Are you also the marys stars in fantasy football? Because if thats you, you havent been active at all in fantasy football... you have a Wide Reciever thats injured and out for the year in your starting lineup lol.. Not to mention you have a different Wide Reciever whos one of the BEST in the league on your bench every week. You should really get on every once in awhile and put players from your bench in / add players from the free agent/wavier pool, if you want to win games that is  ;)

Hey Kohler , just a question out of curiosity, any particular reason you made the Fantasy Football league without fantasy playoffs, but you made the Fantasy Basketball league with fantasy playoffs?

Just wondering since you took opposite stances on fantasy playoffs in the two sports.

Kohler.....usually if you are starting in season, they dont count the first week or 2....they will just start from the day after the draft.

I love Fantasy Football, but haven't done NBA before. This should be fun!

I'm not going to complain. They can leave injuries and byes in all they want....just gives me a better chance since my team is so crappy.....lol

Kohler, in your description in the first post you mentioned there is a 20 team limit to the league.  I noticed under the 'Scoring and Settings' section of the league page that the league currently has a 'Max teams' of 12.  Currently there are 12 teams signed up in the league.  So, I'm guessing if more people want to sign up, they won't be able to?  Is there a way to increase the max teams now that the league was already set?  The more the merrier! :)

Well dang....something has come up and I will not be home for the draft. Hopefully, I get autodrafted a good team. Oh well it's not like I could do much better. I know fantasy football, but have no clue about the fantasy basketball world.

Ok, so I am completely confused as to how the Fantasy Basketball is played. It's obviously completely different than the football. Can someone please tell me how this works? I don't see when the scoring happens, who's actually playing at the time, what the player adds are......just so confused. Do all the player's games get counted for the week?  :sad1:

Sure - I'm in.  I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to devote to it but after having tried Fantasy Football this year I've really enjoyed it.  I didn't know much about football before fantasy and now I understand most of the Jargon and have really looked forward to watching games.   At least with basketball I already know the jist of the game.

There are NINE (9) scoring categories each week and you recieve a win or loss for EACH of these 9 categories, so each week you recieve a total of 9 wins/losses.

The categories are (as they appear in the league):

FG %    (feild goal, or shooting %)
FT%     (free throw %)
3PTM    (3 point shots made)
PTS      (points scored)
REB      (rebounds)
AST      (assists)
ST        (steals)
BLK      (blocked shots)
TO        (turnovers, the only category you want to be lower in)

These stats are accumulative of all your players in your starting lineup for each day they played (players that are on your bench do not count, however you can rotate players off and on your bench for different days of the week within that one matchup and the games they were in your starting lineup will count)

Generaly each person on your team should play around 3 or 4 games (give or take) during any given week and as long as they are in your starting lineup for those games, each game counts.

You get a MAX of 4 adds off the free agency/wavier wire during EACH week. This is to pick up players if you feel you need extra scoring for a category and dont have alot of players in a game for a particular day. (or of course to try to snag a good player like on fantasy football)

I recomend setting your lineup weekly rather then daily, as its alot more work then fantasy football. By that I mean for example log in on monday (the first day of the weeks matchup) and set your lineup, then click tuesday and set it again, then click wendsday, ect ect.

To try to see when the scoring happens, click the day of the week it is on the matchup page (for example today you would click Sunday) and it will show you the current live scoring for all of your players so far. (before you click on the specific day, it will just show matchup totals so far for the entire week)

Hope that helps some.. I probably did not explain as good as it could have been.. it is more confusing then fantasy football.
