i would start with blogger.it's simple and free.then when you get traffic move up from there to a paid domain.But i also heard wordpress is good.lots of different stuff on there.Able to purchase your own domain name also.Good luck.

Personally I would recommend starting out with your own domain name and Wordpress, it's only a couple of bucks a month and gives you a much better chance to succeed without any problems associated with using free.

lots of places sell domain names then a few dollars a month, then put paypal on there and you got your own business
