I have a Coca-Cola change jar, and once I fill it up I either take it to a CoinStar and get a gift card if it's free, or roll it all up and cash it in.

I save mine also, I have a penny, nickle, dime and quarter holder. When I get them full I normally roll the coins and then take them to the bank when I get around $50 or so.

Save it in a jar and once a year cash it out and take the family out to dinner.

I keep my spare change in a money jar.  Then when I need some cash, I go to a grocery store which redeems your change.  However, the gotcha is that you have to pay a fee.
The fee I have been charged is 9 cents per dollar in change.  I guess this for the maintenance of the machine.

I dump it into a jar and when it gets filled up enough, I take it to my credit union and dump it in the change counter. Then it goes to savings.

I save my spare change in a big jar until the end of the year. Then I take it to the bank and use it to buy Christmas gifts

the little boy i keep has a change jar that we call the "chuck e cheese jar" we put loose change in there, when he gets up to 50 or 60 dollars, he gets to go to chuck e cheese.  its a great way to teach him about money and saving!

I keep the spare change for when I am running low on other funds. I also use it to pay for lunches.
