what do you do with spare change?

I do use my change when I am out shopping. But I also have a jar where half is put and the the children donate it to charity.

I have a jar that I drop by spare change in.  I save it up and then wrap it and turn it in.  It's like having a savings account in your closet.

we gave 5$ to a person who was on foot yesterday. he asked for some dinner while he was at mcd's and the manager made him leave. he said he wasnt asking for money ..he just wanted them to buy him a sandwich or something since they were gonna order anyway. i checked my pockets and i didnt have anything on me so i waited for my fiance to come out of cvs and asked him if he had a few dollars to give to the man coz i know how it feels to be broke. we gave the 5 to him and he was very grateful. he said wow thanks guys..u must understand or have been in the situation ourselves. well, sorta we said. we didnt get ourselves in quiet the same boat but we were struggling at one point. the man had been walking and he said he missed dinner at the shelter. eh, what is 5$ anyway? 5$ to a hungry person can go a long way and i hope he did use it for food and not anything else.

I almost never have spare change because I almost never pay with cash.  I keep some in my car at all times for tolls when I need it, but most of the time, I just use my credit card.  On those rare occasions where I do have spare change, I keep it in a jar, and when it gets full, I take it to the bank.

I put it in a coin holder and turn it into cash at the bank with rolls after it fills up.

If I have the exact change I will use it but otherwise mostly pennies go in a jar and I will collect until it's full and than cash them in. It comes in handy most of the time but while I am accumulating my pennies I will cheat and roll them If need be

Save as much as I can. My husband and I put the change into a can and just let the money build up. I plan on getting a coin machine soon so I can see just how much we have saved so far. I love to save money as it gives me a feeling of security.
