The Hobbit (film)

Has anyone seen The Hobbit film yet?  As a big fan of the book, I am holding out for now.  When I originally heard that it was going to be two films, I thought that might have been a small stretch, but I was okay with it.  It was only a few weeks ago that I learned that had decided to turn it into another trilogy.  That sounds totally ridiculous to me. 

If you saw it, do you have thoughts about it?  Was it worth seeing?  Had you read the book prior to going to see the movie?

Since a lot of people have seen the film now, I have heard some more positive reviews.  Has anyone seen it?

I still need to see the file (The Hobbit).  Hopefully, soom after the holiday are over.  Watched the Air New Zealand video on here serveral times and that was a good short video preview.
