We still have a lot of VHS tapes.  I've replaced I don't know how many with DVDs but have not found all my VHS on DVDs.  We still have one VHS/DVD combo that we use to watch the VHS tapes on and 2 backup VCRs in case something happens to the one we use now.  Needless to say we are movie lovers; me especially.  I don't buy as many movies as I used to namely because I don't have any place to keep them.  I probably have between 500-600 movies lol   Any other movie collectors on FC?

I used to but then the VCR died. So I dumped them. I liked that you used to be able to record and play back whatever you watched on TV but with the advent and enforcement of copyright laws you can record to DVR but it is only there for limited time and you must have a cable/satellite provider to do so. For the viewer, then was better than now.  :(

I have them, but really don't play them that much, I have a dvd/vcr recorder. I also see a video once in a while at the library I like to check out.

I don't have any VHS, but my mom still has some and a DVD/VCR combo. A few years ago my older sister came down to visit with my nephew. He was 4 or 5 at the time. My mom told him he could pick out any movie he wanted to watch. He picked out a tape and walked up to the player. Then he turned around and asked us how to make it work. When we looked he was holding the tape upside down and backwards. It was his first time ever using a VCR!  :o ;D

I did up until last year when my VHS player finally decided to die. I only own like 3 VHS movies, but I like to hold onto them for sentimental reasons.

Nope, I don't use VHS tapes anymore because I don't have any and I don't have a VCR. Now, I just use my LG blu-ray player.

Sometimes, you can't beat the true quality that comes out of analog. Its hard to get the same exact sound and picture on anything digital, and watching a VHS on an older TV has a more nostalgic feel. Plus there are some VHS tapes are collectible, as they never released them for dvd (mostly vague, out of the ordinary titles).

Everyday!
Well It is not so much me that uses VHS.
My Two year old son watches all the movies I had on VHS
such as Lion King, Aladdin, Hercules, The rescuers down under and many more!
And it makes it nice because VHS are WAYY cheaper to buy than DVD and since my son is so young he always manages to mess up the DVD.
