I have SO many VHS tapes. I record shows for my dad or a movie I like off of TV. I'm in the process of getting my favorites on DVD right now and when I get a new movie it's on DVD.. But I think VHS tapes will always be around for me.

I have several boxes of old VHS tapes with stuff on them I want to keep.  It's on my list to really get going and get them digitized before they're unusable.  My only issue after I get them converted will be to see if there's any way I can have them recycled vs throwing them in the dump.  Maybe I'll see if anyone on Craigslist will want them...

I starting collecting 3-D movies on vhs and "older" dvd's and now am somewhat frustrated that they do not work (as 3-D) with my new 3-D television set.  I have tried three different kinds of glasses, including those that came with the TV, but the older movies apparently have to be played on older televisions.  My concern is that the next generation of TV's will make my current 3-D videos and movies obsolete.

Before the days of the DVD player, I had my VHS collection up to over 350 movies.  I am still in the process of replacing each one individually as I find it on DVD, but that is taking money and time, of course.
