Groundhog Day

Tomorrow is Groundhog Day.  There is a groundhog in PA, named Paxatony Phil.  On February 2nd, Groundhog Day he comes out of the ground and if he sees his shadow 6 more weeks of winter!  (Old PA Dutch saying)

I live in Wisconsin so there is always 6 weeks more of winter if not more.

Yes, I know but did this groundhog Phil see his shadow today, because today is groundhog day but I haven't heard whether or not He has seen his shadow or not. Guess, I will have to do an internet search and find out. It is snowing and cold here in Ohio and we have almost 3 inches but not much in comparison to some other places.

I've never seen a case study to know if the Groundhog is right or not... it's usually a clip on a newscast each year...

do you really believe in the groundhog..Half the time he is wrong.  Well today he did see his shadow but I still say six more weeks.  I live in new England ::)

I have never given it much credit, but dont know how correct it has been throughout the years. i do know he didnt see his shadow this year and thus predicted early spring, but i dont see that happening!

I don't believe in groundhog day. They have been saying for years if a groundhog sees it's shadow it going to be cold.
