It depends on the situation, I think.  Did she know she was being offensive?

If this friend has offended you and your daughter on more than once occasion, why apologize to her-she owes you the apology.  Also if she doesn't respond to your texts, then just let it go.  If she is a real friend, she will make the next move to apologize.

I was about to say you shouldn't have apologized but I applaud you for being the bigger person.  If she hasn't responded to your texts (which in itself is insulting) after offending you AND your daughter then she may have had some resentment toward you anyway and you might need to let it go. Sometimes people appear to be friends and they aren't.  Offending you is one thing but she also offended your daughter so getting upset and saying what you said in the heat of the moment is the natural reaction and shouldn't be cause enough for her to ignore your messages.

If she hurt my daughter, no. But in general it depends on the situation & if she apologized.

Yeah, that is hard to trust to people that offended us, but sometimes it give us an advice.

You might give the person time if that person what's to get over the situation or not, but a true friendship, then you'll both forgive and be friends!

it would really depend on what the offense was...most things are forgiveable, especially if you care for someone

It would depend on what she did or said.  Sadly some things are forgivable but some things are not.

Wow~I guess it depends on what was said exactly.  If there are seemingly deep issues and if it is too much work to get through them, maybe start fresh somewhere else.  I've known some who abuse their friends and think they can just say sorry after they cool off, but after a while, some just say they don't need that kind of drama in their lives.

I guess it depends on the situation. And if this was the first time. But if she isn't responding to you I wouldn't bother with it anymore.

depends if youre really strict and how he offended it, this is a delicate matter it is the first basis of ruining relationships. you have to give and take.
