Are you trying to say that Nascar is for rednecks?? My Son-in-law is from Latino decent and will not miss a nascar race on TV. He was brought up and raised in Mass. and NJ, not a typical Nascar enthusiast. To each their own - I say!! I personally can't stand watching cars go around an oval track. I consider it quite booring!!

My son was very into nascar for a few years, but has since grown out of it or got bored with it. I really can't understand the appeal to it.

I am sure most of you can't understand the appeal to it!

seems like it fits really well, most fans are gun advocates

Well I guess considering it is a USA organization supporting a USA sport I find it a lot more appropriate for them to sponsor it instead of a Candaian Hocky or Mexican Soccer game.

I am a fan of NASCAR who does not own a gun but I believe very much in the right to bear arms.  I know that gun rights are a hot topic right now which probably gave this sponsorship even more coverage than it would have received at another time.  I personally do not see anything wrong with the sponsorship by the NRA.  I am not sure but I think that they have sponsored a race before.

I enjoy watching NASCAR too. And yes my husband would be considered a Red neck simply because of where he was born. But he doesn't drink like a lot do. I also believe you should have the right to choose to bare arms even though it's not for me.
