HAE ANYONE READ THE BOOK OF MORMON

I have read it more than once.I know that it is the word of JESUS CHRIST given to the people that lived on this continent.they were written on Gold plates .Given an account of the former inhabitants of this continent.

I read excerpts of it once when a woman gave it to me at court.  She was actually a defendant on a misdemeanor case I was prosecuting and handed some papers to me, insisting I read it because it would explain her religious beliefs to me.  She told me that she was a voudoun priestess.  Not sure why she thought that was relevant.  Maybe she thought it would scare me.  She ended up pleading to the charge.  At the end of the docket, I looked briefly through the papers she gave me.  Portions of them were photocopies of the Book of Mormon.  I have no idea why she chose that book.  It was just a very bizarre incident.

Their sacred undergarments are not magic, they are symbolic reminders of chastity.  The original book was engraved on gold tablets that were found buried in the woods on the Hill Cumorah in Palmyra, NY.

I was born in New York state and am distant cousins of two Mormon church leaders.  I also went to BYU for a couple years of excellent education.

I haven't read it but I love Julie Sweeney's TED talk about mormons. It is a really interesting perceptive as long as you are open to it. It might offend some though so be warned before you search for it on youtube. =)
