I hate to cook when it is hot, so I like to buy cold cuts and make sandwiches and eat chips with them.  My husband likes a hot meal during the summer, which is senseless to me.  He wants me to cook and not stay in the kitchen.  If I do not stay in the kitchen, he calls me for other senseless things, so I stay in there.  I see no sense in cooking during the summer unless it is something quick, like hot dogs.

Sandwiches and salads...they're fast and easy. And grilling.

Grill out a LOT, love cold sandwich meals, those would be just tomato only sandwiches to cold cut meat bearing fare. Corn on the cob is a biggie in my area as well, but corn drives my blood sugar through the roof... when I do get motivated to actually cook, I do thinks like roasting a turkey so it will provide many meals without having to cook again.  ;D

Some of my favorites in the summer are tuna salad, chicken salad and potato salad.

Cold foods! Because... it is simply too hot to eat hot foods.

The kind that don't require turning on the hot oven. I like pasta salads and fixing sandwiches. I still have been cooking on the stove, although not everyday, because where I live we haven't gotten that wave of heat yet. When it does come, it'll be back to making sandwiches again.
