My cat was so sick I had to put him to sleep.....

On 07/12/20013 I had to put PAZ to sleep.   My family took it very hard.  He was one of the family for about five years... Some people do not understand why we were so sad about my cat...  I felt I lost one of my babies.. Please let me know I am not alone.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your cat  . Believe me, you are not alone in your love for your pets.  I hate when people think of them as just "pets", they are family members.  My heart goes out to you and your family.  I have been in the same situation as you more times then I want to remember and it always hurts.  Just remember he's in a better place with no pain.  Again, I'm so very sorry.

I'm so very sorry for your loss.  You most certainly are NOT alone.  ALL of my animals are treated "like one of the family" and it is devastating when bad things happen.  Know that your PAZ is in a better place, free of pain or sickness, and awaits the day when you'll be reunited again.

I am so sorry.  Two summers ago I had a dog that had cancer.  She was down to her last few hours and struggling to even breathe.  We ended up going ahead and putting her to sleep.  You know you have a good vet when they cry with you.    You are right in that some people don't understand.  I have a cat and dog now and neither are in the best of health.  I am sure you done all you could for your kitty and he/she had a good life with you.  Nothing wrong with being sad.  I would be more worried about the person who wasn't sad or didn't care.  You will feel better and someday cross that Rainbow bridge together   *hugs*

I am an all-time pet lover.  I do believe my cat loves me and he is my friend and we need each other.  Just letting you know your are not alone, I'd be sad.  Better to let the vet do the big sleep than letting your cat and you feel the pain.  My kitty is fourteen-years-old.

I am so sorry for your loss! And you are not alone. I have lost pets before and hurts just as much as loosing another human being, at least in my opinion. I have a 2 year old lab now who is my world and I dont know what I would do if I lost her. She is definitely like my baby. Again though, I am very sorry about your loss.

It's such a terrible loss when you have to put a pet to sleep. I understand why you would grieve.  It's just like losing a human family member.  We are tending to an invalid dog right now, and it's an impossible decision to know the right thing to do when your heart is involved.
