I'm not exactly sure anymore....

I just know I want to do something I love and have a passion for..

But even then, Im still not entirely sure I know what that is myself..

This is just my opinion, but I'd recommend taking the parts of the interning job you enjoyed and seeing how they could transfer into a specific major. Then again you probably have 2 years till you figure it all out, so no rush. Enjoy the summer! What type of college are you going to? Community college? State school?

What's your major?

Go with something practical! I know that's the lame answer that no one wants to hear, but it's a tough world out there right now. I got a degree in journalism and I really wish I'd gotten a background in accounting or radiology. Something practical where there are actually job openings that pay a livable wage.

Doing it the first time is ideal, because going back to some is hard when you already have a mountain of debt!

As I've moved through life and 100 jobs I realized how much harder it gets to work for another person, starts to feel like you have no control over life.

Wow, you are so young and just starting out.  How exciting!

I hope that you have a great experience at college.  Keep up with us so you can tell us what you find out about yourself!

Are you going away to school, or living at home while you study?

A lot of students do a lot of their work online now, too.

Try out everything that interests you in some way.

The community college in our area has a center where you can take "tests" to find out your strengths and interests and then they recommend majors and careers to go along with the results.  See if there is something like that at your school.

Stay safe and have a great life ahead!

Thank you everyone! :)

It definitely will be tough transitioning and trying to figure out what some
of my more reasonable interests are, but...

2 years to figure it out then completely commit. XD :) Thanks!

Well anotherlaujgirl I'm sending kudo's your direction.  Being so young and taking an initiative to do more than just waste your summer away at a pool or coffee shop - taking time as an intern sure did teach you a valuable lesson.  Have you heard of Kidzania?  Try googling it if you find this interesting....I heard about it in a parental forum I'm in.  So it's a "theme park" for kids.  Run by kids.  Everything in this place is scaled down to kid size.  Kid's than role play grown up lives.  Working for an airport, being a dr or a clerk at a store...it's a full interactive event for kids.  Can you imagine being 8 or 9 years old and trying different roles out...determining at such a young age what you enjoy...what your good at and what you can hone in on all before you get to high school?
