My brother named me after a girl in his class (he was in 2nd grade when I was born).

I'm named after my father... kinda. He actually changed his name from his given name to his name now. I was given the longer version of his name. So, I'm not a junior, but my name comes from a version of my fathers name.

My first name is after my Dad and my middle name is after my Mom's little brother.

My first name was picked out a favorite song of my mom's and popular back in the day. 

I believe my middle name is for one of my mom's aunts. 

However, my dad REALLY wanted a boy and he wanted to name me Bruce. 

I'm glad I turned out to be a girl. No offense to any Bruces out there. 

Anyway, my parents gave up after that and didn't have any more children, so I'm an only child. Everyone thinks I must be spoiled because of that. 

BTW, I was always asking my mom to have more kids but it was a no-go.

A woman in Clarksville, Tenneissee (where I was born) and I have the same first name, except my mother decided to be unique and added an "e" as the fourth letter in my first name and the other woman's first name is spelled without the e.  My sister is named after her aunt.  I named my daughter after both of her grandmothers, except I had to add four letters to make her middle name.  My brother is named after his father.  My youngest sister is named after my mother, but they have different middle names.  My mother was named after my great-grandmother.

Mother says me father named me after an old girlfriend, but my middle name is Mother's first name. Not sure if the first part is true.

My mom heard my first name on the Price is Right game show and loved it.
My middle name is the feminine version of my father's name.

Please don't laugh,,,,,,,           I was named after a nun from the hospital i was born in.

my mom went to hospitl on the 4th of July,,,,,  didn't have me till the 6th of July,   back then they kept you for like a week.  This "nun" was in to see my mom everyday and her name was "Sister Teresa"    So My name is Teresa After her

I always thought it was funny that I was named after a "Nun"    because  "God" knows I am no saint !!!

I am named after a German movie star.  Of course, I have no inclinations toward this type of occupation, but it was nice to know.
