Yes, they make electric cars don't they? They have very good security ratings. I believe the company is run by Elon Musk.

Sure have.  A VERY promising upstart, all electric producing automobile manufacturer.  They're becoming a big player in the expanding all electric car market, and more importantly, are expanding the infrastructure for charging stations, which to date is the biggest hurdle for many in plunging into the electric car market: the range anxiety of 100% electric cars.  Either by the end of this year, or next year (can't remember off the top of my head), Tesla is building charging stations nationwide and claim there will be more than plenty in place that you will be able to drive coast to coast on a straight trip.

They have a few obstacles to overcome, as Texas has already barred them from selling in their state.  Tesla's sales model is to sell direct to the consumer, eliminating stealerships dealerships.  Texas, for some reason, has a problem with this.  Couldn't be they're a big oil producer, could it?  Other states are also looking to follow Texas' lead.

Their Model S is a beautiful car.  It won the 2013 Motor Trend Car of the Year award.  Depending on the battery size you choose, you could either get a 230 or 300 mile range on a full charge, which is by far the highest range to date on the market for any all electric car.  It has a top speed of 120-130mph.  If you're a big tech person, it has a lot of bells and whistles which would interest you, like it's central dash control panel essentially being a giant tablet.

Do a search on Google for it.  It truly is a game-changing car.

I've heard of it, but only the name.  I don't know anything about their cars at all.

I have heard of them and their electric cars.  I wouldn't mind having an all-electric if they could get the sale price down to a reasonable amount.

Because of the high fuel prices at the pump...I think we should all be driving all electric Tesla!

I know it is an electric car manufacturer. The CEO recently revealed some plans for a hyperloop transportation system that will allow people to travel between cities much quicker than an airplane. I would suggest doing a search to learn more. It sounds like a really amazing idea if it could ever actually be put into place.
