The thing that helped me lose the weight was a pill. I had my thyroid checked. After the test came back showing that I had an underactive thyroid, the doctor prescribed synthroid, and I lost 150 lbs.

How I ate and what I ate was not the problem.

We do need help to lose weight, but the gimmicks do not help, they only take your money.

everyone is born with so many fat cells...some of us have more than others unfortunately.  what we eat and drink can trigger them.  one of these days the scientist will invent something to turn the fat cells off.

I fall into those traps sometimes but I do research before I buy something because I am worried about the safety. I was just looking at 1200-1400 calorie a day diets that I am going to follow and start walking more and get an elliptical for the house to help on those bad weather days

For those individuals who have thyroid problems, I have heard that it is almost impossible for you all to loose weight without your primary care physician placing you on the proper type of medication. I have heard horror stories from people who have thyroid problems. It all depends on how your thyroid problem is being treated.

My son lost 100 pounds over a year by following a plan he downloaded off the Internet about 10 years ago. It basically focused on portion control and exercise. It was a good investment for him and wasn't expensive. It provided the tools he needed to get a jump start.

eating habits,,,,,,,,,  have to change  :)   adds for pills are scary, you really never know what they are or can conflict with other meds you are taking.  I take  "Bee Pollin" every morning.  curves your hunger. i don't eat fried foods. i don't drink soda. very very little sugar in my diet or salt !!!

lots of water,  fruits and veggies  and exercise.  I have lost 20 lbs in 3 months.  for me that is great :)   some can loose faster but i have a thyroid condition so i loose slower :(    but  i will get there :D

My husband has been doing the cabbage soup diet. He lost 10 pounds so far after 2 weeks. Just because of him being on that diet and me not having to make huge meals with meat, potatoes, vegies, etc I have also lost 10 pounds!

As of today I'm officially 170lbs. When I initially started I was around 181 lbs about 45 days ago. Changing my eating habits, exercising, and using the loose it app has truly helped me. No weight loss pills, shakes, powders or surgeries. I'm doing it the natural way. I feel healthier each day. I'm looking forward to being 145lbs by December 24th of this year. Keep trying everyone you can do it.

Sometimes will power just isn't all it's cracked up to be (and sometimes it is). ;D  You can try taking a pic of the size you want to get back to and keep it handy, never worked for me but...

The best thing I found is to fill the house with snacks that have very little calories and when your willpower is not up to par eat that instead. Carrots, onions, and apple were my favs.
