We have 4 dogs  lab rescue, pekepoo (accidental litter from a co-worker), yorkie - my granddaughter's birthday present, rescue maltese that had been abused and has seizures. I'm a nurse so I can handle it.  He is the sweetest, most well behaved dog - I just can't see how anyone could mistreat a dog. Also a rescue siamese cat and a rescue sand boa.  They help keep me grounded when my family problems are bad ( and they ave been bad ).  They are always there for me and my granddaughter.

I have 3 dogs all adopted from the pound. Bailey, Trudie and Willow. We just got Willow on Friday. She was supposed to be put to sleep on the 3rd and I'm not sure what happened with that but I'm glad it didn't happen and that she's here with us now  :)

 I have a mutt terrier named Bud. Hes 15 yrs old and will probably be the last one for me. His brother Spud died about a year 1/2 ago - on Christmas day - and I still miss him.  :sad1: When Buds gone it will be the first time in over 20 yrs I didn't have a dog. I'll probably eat my words and get another one. :)

I must say all your animals are super cute! I too am an animal lover unfortunately my hubby is deathly allergic to animals so we can't have any pets. :angry7: I do on the other hand have a goldfish who is crazy! ;D But if I could I would get a dog in a heart beat.

I had a Collie, just like "Lassie" when I was growing up. I love dogs. We had a Dachshund/Beagle mix - "Lady" she was amazing. The house dog my dad would never have in the house. Daddy just believed that boys should have a dog to play with and take care of. So my little brother got a dog. (jealousy unintentional)

Nowadays my sister has the dogs. She has two Maltese. They are so adorable. What an understatement!! She is also a borderline germ-a-phobe, so any pets in her home is nearly a miracle. She does love them though. She's an empty-nester, like me, and the dogs are her babies. Thank God for dogs, and cats, and all the other animals that provide love and loyalty to lonely people.

Personally, I have become a cat person. They're so independent and at the same time loyal, and cuddly. If you keep the litter clean and fresh food and water available, you may not even see your cat for a day or so, unless they want you to.

They're all wonderful.

i have a siberian husky, i got him for christmas. His name is ishmael. He's a year and a half old, and SUPER smart. He's the first dog i've ever had, and i'm completely inseparable from him. He caught on very quickly to simple tricks such as sit, down, stay, etc. We even taught him how to say "I love you!" He LOVES to talk, i don't know how i got along without him  ;)

I love dogs too...and almost every other four legged creature on earth. In our home we have a cat named Bubba. He is 4 and was adopted from a rescue shelter. We paid $175 for him even though we did not think he would live through the week. The person that owned him before us broke his tail, front legs, and left him outside without food or water for weeks at a time. He has been a real joy in our home. We went though months of medications and surgeries, but it was all well worth it! We also have a cat named SuziQ. She is almost 3 and she too was adopted, but from the pound. She has been a real joy also. Last but certainly not least, our latest addition, Crower. He is a 5 month old Chiuaua (I havent a clue how to spel that lol.) We got him this past Easter from a breeder. My husband is gone a lot for work and this little bundle of joy follows me everywhere! They get a bad wrap as ankle biters, but not him. I started socializing him as a baby and he loves everyone. Our neighbors just had a baby and he always has to "check" on the baby, its adorable. He is spoiled rotten too. He has an outfit for every day of the week, 4 or 5 hats, sunglasses, and a rain poncho.  ;D The only problem is that he likes shoes as much as I do, but I don't chew on them!

I love dogs too.  About 5 years ago we got a Toy Fox Terrier from a swap meet.  We took one look at her and knew we had to take her home.  She was kind of thin and she had a bad foot.  I couldn't bear to think what might happen to her if we didn't buy her.  5 Years later, she is still going strong and couldn't be more spoiled or loved.
