NFL Playoffs
« on: January 01, 2014, 01:07:16 am »
What teams do you like to get to the Super Bowl in the NFL playoffs??  The two top seeds rarely ever both make it, so that eliminates either Denver or Seattle.  Also, first-time playoff teams rarely make it there on the first try.  Teams also rarely make it to back-to-back Super Bowls in the post free-agency era.

So this logic eliminates San Francsico, Carolina, Kansas City, and since I really like Denver in fhe AFC it also eliminates Seattle.  That leaves New Orleans, Philly and Green Bay in the NFC and I doubt New Orleans can win 3 outside cold weather games, so I am liking Philly or Green Bay in the NFC.

Super Bowl - Denver vs Philly or Green Bay

I don't really care who gets in this year as long as SF does not get in.

My best friend that used to live in San Fran, and since I live in MN, it's always fun to root for ABGB (Anybody But Green Bay), so I'm hoping for San Fran to be in the Super Bowl. As for the AFC, since the 2 teams I really root for in that league didn't make the playoffs (Pitt was the one that had an outside chance towards the end of the season, while Buffalo looked about as lame as usual), I really don't care who wins in that conference. Perhaps Denver....

I think that the 1st round NFL Playoffs matchups this week are all very interesting and the COLD weather at 3 out of 4 games will impact who wins

At the beginning of the year I went New Orleans over Denver so I am going to stick with it. If I had to pick again I would say San Francisco over Denver

I will be happy if San Francisco makes the Super Bowl and it wouldn't matter to me who they play.

I think Seattle and Denver would be great, but that's probably not going to happen since they are the top 2 seeds. Trends indicate SD and/or another wild card team will be in it

Im thinking Seattle and Green Bay.

That would be cool, but it can't happen. They are from the same conference
