Chili is good on cold days. I love the way my mother makes it. I need to get the recipe from her.

I like soup in the cold days. And oatmeal in the morning, and hot chocolate milk with bread.

I like to make casseroles... I love making a homemade mac & cheese casserole with little slices of a smoked sausage inside. Or baked spaghetti where I make spaghetti like normal except that I then dump half into a baking bowl, add a layer of mozzarella, add the remaining half on top of the cheese, and finally top it off with more cheese.

I like using the oven on cold days because it makes the old house feel warm & cozy.   A few favorites to make are  Chicken & Cheese Enchiladas,  Lasagne,  Peach Cobbler.   It's a treat because I only use the oven when it's really cold!

I don't have a cold day food.  Just being able to have food to eat everyday is a blessing.
