"Abomination" Is 'Having to Eat with the Wrong People'

That's what Egyptians thought in the Old Testament ... does that meaning carry through to the New Testament? to Jesus' prophecy to His disciples---making 'poor people eating with rich people' (the abomination of desolation) a sign of the Apocalypse?
