Name One!
« on: February 04, 2014, 11:55:31 am »
Sometimes we Americans take things for granted. I want anyone to name one American President who has lived as a child in a impoverished nation in the last 20 years and actually seen poor people, NO I DO NOT MEAN AMERICA.

Ummmm... you know that you have to be born here to be President, right?

You are asking for a president who has seen poor people but not in America?  You would be better off asking for a person who has worked their way up and knows what it means to be poor.  Presidents don't know what it is to be poor because they have never been hungry, nor do they know what it is to struggle every day to have the necessities of life.  I take it that nobody in Washington (on the side of the Senate or the Congress) have struggled and knows what it is like to be poor.  I hope you get an answer to this one, but it won't come from me because I really don't know. ??? ??? ???

The better question would be how many people actually born in the United States that have lived as a child in a impoverished nation.

Considering you have to natural born citizen, older than 35 and have lived in the country for at least 14 years, it would greatly cut down on that being plausible

:) The Constitution requires the President of the United States be a natural born citizen.  :)

Your time frame of the past 20 years narrows the choices down to only three American presidents. Although Bill Clinton was raised in a single-parent, lower class environment in Hope, Arkansas; none of the three lived an impoverished life outside of this country.  ???

Well if the president have a TV and watched a documentary about any third world country then he has seen poverty.
