Ok so I am at my parents house for the weekend and last night after I signed off of here the whole house shook  and there was a loud noise like a plane was flying to low. We are in Augusta, Ga. and I have lived here just about my whole life. At least in the state. My family and I live outside Atlanta for the last 20 years but we always come home. I'm 47 and was 5 when we moved down from Jersey. Mom went to bed and came out a few minutes later and said that what we had felt was an earthquake. They were just talking bout  it on the news. As long as I've lived here there has NEVER BEEN AN EARTHQUAKE HERE!!!!!!!

First earthquake must of been scary.Living in Ca used to them,haven't been one here in years in the S.F. bay area umm maybe soon. Should be ready with a earthquake kit and other things but not.

Earthquakes can happen anywhere at any given time just in places it rarely happens it will be totally out of the blue and unexpected & ps any place saying they have never had an earthquake is wrong (most places have them just 99.9 percent don't feel them because there to far down in the earths crust to even reach it to the surface.) California has 100's a day most not felt because of that factor that i mentioned them being to deep down in the earth to feel them
