If so, what are your faves?
Mine are Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth

Hamlet is by far my favorite!!! The Mel Gibson version is exact to the story and is excellent watching!

I'm an Edgar Allan Poe type of girl. Never got into Shakespeare.

I am not aware of any novels written by Shakespeare, although he may well have penned some. His writings do seem to be prolific. As for his works in the playwright genre, King Lear would rank with a few others as 'must reads' or seen on stage.

I wasn't much of a fan of Shakespeare's plays until I was introduced to a local theater troop who performs them in an outdoor stage.  Seeing the play, I was able to understand what was going on.  Reading the play was too confusing for me.

I favor the comedies - really like "As You Like It" and "A Comedy of Errors".  Last summer I got to see both Hamlet, and the associated play "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead".  If you've never seen the latter, you definitely need to watch it after seeing Hamlet.

I hated reading Shakespeare in high school.
I did like Romeo and Juliet, but I hated when I had to read and dissect his sonnets. I'm not a poetry fan, and it's difficult for me to try and dissect someone's writing, because I always feel like I'm interpreting it wrong.
