Message to Referrals?

I'm just starting to test the waters with advertising for referrals (vs directly recruiting friends/family) and looks like I got my first referral from this method.  That got me thinking if the referral does not make their email address available to me, there is no way I can communicate with them.

I noticed on a couple other sites I work where the referral page allows the referrer to post a custom text message to any referrals.  I was thinking this might be a good idea to help keep new referrals that come from these general advertising sources.

By allowing a message, I think this would go a long way to retaining new members as I would be able to post a personal welcome message and provide intro tips to get them going.  I know one complaint by some new people, based on the forum, is that it can be a bit overwhelming when one starts.  Maybe having a communication method such as this may help retain new recruits by providing them a more personalized welcome to the site and someone they can develop a trust with to get questions answered until they figure out the lay of the land.

On the other sites, this message feature doesn't seem very fancy - just a way to save a message that only direct referrals can view, and the referrer can update the message as they see fit.

That would be nice, but another method is to use a capture page before you tell them what program you are sending them to. If you make it inviting enough (be honest and follow the terms) they could provide an email address outside Fusioncash you can use, at least until they remove themselves.

Referrals are where it's at. I have 15 and probably half are actually cashing out. If you can get 'em, then go for it.

That's an amazing ratio! I have over 900 and I am lucky if five or six cashout each month, but for the work it takes I am not complaining.

I have been trying to get referrals and tweeting but only have 2 followers.  LOL.  My friends are not twitters.

Hello justdawn97 yes It does include the amount earned from referrals because both the bonuses and the non-bonuses are applied to your cash out amounts each time.  So the banners reflect your total earnings.  They don't always update in real time though but I think that it might be just a lil glitch from time to time.  Hope that helps! I have my own website with Yourl installed (a tracking link shortner), but I suppose you could use bit.ly or any of the free systems around. I also seldom use free websites, they know what their stuff is worth. You can buy a domain name  and provide quality hosting for less than $2 a month, then people who visit don't see FREE all over and wonder if you are making any money after all.
