Flower of the Day
« on: May 01, 2014, 06:44:20 am »
Flower of the Day is a daily quote of inspirational/spiritual content. Feel free to interpret the content however it may (or may not) apply to you.

1 May 2014

“Fear is the first defense mechanism that emerges when the idea of separation is born. This belief that one is separate is a manifestation of a lie, and it can act in many ways, from the grossest level to the subtlest. A gross lie is one that is told on a daily basis to feel important and try to take advantage of situations. Self-deceit in regards to one’s true identity is a subtle lie. Even the most basic lies are there to solidify the subtler ones, which exist to feed one’s false identity.”

~ Sri Prem Baba

“Sachcha is the irrefutable truth; it is permanent and unquestionable. It always has been and always will be: it is eternal. Sachcha is in all. It is what’s left after removing all beliefs and conditioning, all fantasies and imagination. This is enlightenment.”

“Every thought vibrates, every thought radiates a signal, and every thought attracts a matching signal back. We call that process the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction says: That which is like unto itself is drawn. And so, you might see the powerful Law of Attraction as a sort of Universal Manager that sees to it that all thoughts that match one another line-up.”

"Be aware of this persistent feeling that there's something more to do in order to attain the Self. Somehow, you have
been brought, so far, to a stage where you are encouraged to leave aside all intentions, projections, fantasies and
simply keep quiet inside your being. Mind is inclined to say this is not enough. It is suggesting you take some action.
However, the master tells you to keep quiet and to focus on the Silence of your Heart rather than the rush of the mind.
You are advised to avoid the trap of waiting for something to happen. There may arise a little tension because of this
advice to not go with the movement from mind. Learn to bear your own Silence by observing the tensions encircling it.
Observe rather than react. Again, keep quiet. Stay only as Awareness." ~ Mooji

“Comprehension is a phenomenon that occurs when the mind is illuminated, and becomes serene. Just as a still lake can perfectly reflect the light of the sun, the serene mind reflects the light of the Being.” ~ Sri Prem Baba

"Do not allow your mind to become so easily disturbed by the fleeting soap bubble experiences of this world. Know your mind's essence to be imperishable, indivisible and unborn. Without your Self, nothing is; for things cannot be their own witness. It is in the light of sentience that the world is seen. You are not an object. All phenomena reports to the consciousness in You, the formless Self. Know your Self to be That in which they arise, play and are eventually absorbed. This very day, life will reveal a taste of the miracle of your real existence. Without expectations or projections, simply be open to this." ~ Mooji

There are two for today:

8 May 2014

“A pure heart does not judge; it does not accuse nor compare, and neither does it desire. A pure heart accepts and forgives; it gives thanks and loves in a selfless way. A pure heart is one that only observes, and is expressed through an equanimous mind, since it watches all miseries and joys without getting identified. Through this heart, the flow of life and love is not interrupted. This heart is beyond the dramas and games of lower nature, and always vibrates in gratitude. It constantly celebrates life, the sun, the moon, the stars, the wind, flowers, smiles, and everything that is expressed through the human being, because this heart understands that everything is sacred. Everything is part of the divine play. This heart is a symbol that represents your deepest Self.” ~ Sri Prem Baba

“Globalization brings the East and West closer. There is an attraction between these hemispheres because they both need to work together in harmony. To accomplish the great work, we must have wings as well as roots – this is the point of equilibrium we seek. One who has attained union is beyond the concepts of the East and West because that person has unified the masculine and feminine within herself. The masculine in you seeks the feminine in you, and vice versa. The outer search that happens through various situations, especially ones that seek to bring balance between the hemispheres, are all ultimately aimed at generating this union within.” ~ Sri Prem Baba

“Success is being happy and celebrating life. It is emptying the heart of all discord and letting go of all conflicts. We may say that success can be measured when you are able to become aware of what blocks your joy or causes your unhappiness. Self-knowledge is one way to measure success, for it allows you to become aware. Through this, transformation and healing are possible. If the path to happiness opens up through self-investigation, then through this path one will experience true success.” ~ Sri Prem Baba
