What is it about Sunday?
« on: June 29, 2014, 01:21:15 pm »
Was curious to know if anyone else gets really wore out on Sundays.  I get up about the same time as I do any other day, we go to Church, then grab lunch and take it to my father-in-laws house where we eat and visit till about 2ish.  By the time we get home (less than 2 miles away), I feel like I've been ran over by a darned ole' train!  My energy level is at 0 and I feel this way the rest of the day.  What's up with that?  Anybody else?

Nothing wrong with Sunday.  I think when you do a lot of activity on that day you will feel tire.  For me, I do more stuff on Sunday rather than the weekday.

I too sometimes notice this especially during the winter.

I rest on Sunday. I don't do a lot activities on that day except if I am having a party at my house. This day is my day of rest. I enjoy taking long nap after church.

I think Sundays, for most people who have weekends off, is  a lead in to Mondays which means another five days until the weekend and time away from the job.  Doesn't hit me as hard because I work fourteen to sixteen hours every day including Sundays. The only difference is that on Mondays I go to my six am till four pm job followed by a fifteen minute ride home to work the job that I work on the weekends!  I usually give myself the luxury of six hours of sleep on Friday and Saturday nights.  I also take an hour and a half lunch on Saturdays and Sundays so that I can hit the gym and try to stay in good shape. Sometimes I finish projects early on Sundays and then I am treated to chores around the house!

If you do things that you "should" do or feel obligated to do you'll probably end up feeling emotionally drained.  If you do things you enjoy and make your happiness a priority you'll most likely feel emotionally uplifted.

Have a great day!

I mostly do fun things on Sunday unless I have to work, which luckily isn't that often.  But yeah, if I have a lot of stuff that I need to do though, Sunday can be just as hectic as other days of the week.

Sunday is usually a quieter day when we just do all the catch up work from the week. I think when you work by Sunday afternoon you are already dreading the work week. That makes you tired just thinking about it.

Me, too!  Usually around 4:00, I can't keep my eyes open!  But I know if I take a nap, I would feel worse when I got up or else I would become too unmotivated to go back to church for the evening service.
Have a wonderful day!

I think Sundays can be more tiring sometimes than weekdays. Anytime there is a lot of activity, it can tire someone out. Also, I think that mentally knowing that Monday follows Sunday, signaling the beginning of a new week can make people feel tired in anticipation.

You're supposed to be tired on Sunday.  You have worked all week and now you need a day of rest.  "Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even in plowing time and in harvest time you shall rest."  Exodus 34:21

We don't go to church but it is usually our cleaning day. I hate cleaning, so I'm not a huge fan of Sundays.
