What do you do to get your mind off of a problem?

What do you do and does it work most of the time?

Most of the time I meditate when I have a problem. If it is a serious problem I seek for help from God and trust me God will help you when you come to him with your problem.

I have yet to find a successful way to do that! I stew and stew on problems and really just work myself up even more. Not good coping skills.

I try to look at it from all points of view, my own and the other person if it concerns someone else. Sometimes you just have to get frustrated and angry and upset to get it out so you can think straight though. If I really need someone to talk to about it though I go to a friend who will listen and not judge

Sleeping never gets my mind off and games do not help either for me. I find the best thing to calm my mind is music, but only if I remember doing this to begin with.

Exercise - take a nice long walk.   
Best stress reliever PLUS you can think it all out while you're walking.

I like to go for a drive and listen to music.  Sometimes you just need a break and some good tunes to help relax the mind.

I like to exercise usually ill go on a run that helps to clear my mind very well. i think its a good go to!

I deal with the problem and try to fix it right there and then so that I don't have to worry about it
If it's out of my control- I find busy work or I spend some time with the friends i have to make me laugh.

I go to God and pray. Also, believe it or not browsing on the computer helps take my mind off things. One thing that has been in my family since I can remember is music. I love listening to music as it is very therapeutic.

If I've got a problem which I'd rather not be thinking about, I put a really good movie on or I watch one of my favorite comedy programs. It works the majority of the time unless the problem is making me really sad. It also helps if I can talk the problem out with my sister who might live 5,000 miles away but we talk as though she lives 22 minutes down the road.

I CLEAN! It helps keep my mind off the problem. When I'm done everything be SPARKLING. Lol
