Meeting a Baseball Legend!

My son has a chance at meeting Mariano (Mo) Rivera from the NY Yankees!! I know someone, that his sister is close with Mo's sister/family member. And I said let me just ask - it doesn't hurt to try! I contacted him through facebook and He is asking his sister to contact Mo to see if he can do a meet and greet with my son for his birthday. Send good & positive thoughts everyone!! My son would be so excited if he got to meet "The closer - Mo Rivera"!!! My son is obsessed with baseball since age 3 and knows just about every player on most teams and he is only going to be 8 next month!  :present: :rose: :pumpkin: :angel11:

its a great feeling. I met Hank Aaron When I was 21 and it was great to shake hands with a legend :)

Seems like a real level headed retired baseball player. We got see him shopping in Chicago with his family last summer.
We did not bother him, he was shopping with his wife and a son.

Hope it works out for you and your son. My girls, husband and I got to meet some of the Falcons and a couple other team players at a friends party for their son. The dad used to coach them when they were in high school and have kept in touch and watched their children grow up and wanted to be there for the oldest sons event.

I think it would be nice to meet a celebrity from sports or TV.
 Their notoriety makes them famous.
They are ordinary people with extraordinary talent.

Wow, what an incredible experience. Your son must have been so excited. It must have been a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet a legend like that.
