Faster as you get older

Yes it seems that way, my late Grandmother once said after you reached 25 time will just start to fly. The year seems to come in and end so quickly now, guess it's just nature's way of the aging process!

Hehehe.  Yup, you hit the ground running as soon as you graduate from school.  Most kids can't wait to get out and go to work.  Once you do, BOOM!  Before you know it, you're 40, LOL.

Yes, and according to an article here: http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/mind-guest-blog/2013/12/18/why-does-time-fly-as-we-get-older/ it is pretty much a constant across age groups and cultures.  Lots of theories but so far no one really knows why .  Since it seems to be cross cultural and virtually everyone of a particular age group experiences the passing of time in more or less the same it is likely something biologically inherent in all of us.  Don't have the link but do recall reading something about the particular "rhythm" of some brain cells and about the effects of dopamine on that rhythm.  Apparently that rhythm establishes how we perceive the passage of time and some studies seem to suggest that those people who have different dopamine amounts at a particular age than others in their age group actually do experience the passage of time differently.  Intriguing stuff!

You are so right.  I remember when I was a kid I used to say to my mom, I can`t wait until........or I want my birthday to come soon.  She always said don't wish for time to fly because once your older it goes so fast.  I couldn't understand that 365 days are 365 to everyone.  But as I aged I knew what she meant,  my oldest daughter is 31, but I feel like I just had her a few months ago.....where did all those years go?

Definitely and that was something my mom always told me to enjoy life cause its gone before you know it

It sure seems to be that time goes by faster.

As a kid, time was a luxury.  We enjoyed playing outside for hours. 

As you get older, there are more responsibilities and free time is less and less.

I agree.  When I was a kid and had to go to school every day, the time just seemed to drag.  Now as I get older the days just fly by.

Not at all, I'm 76 and it hasn't changes speed that I can remember. Mabbe that's why, I just don't remember.

yes!! we were just talking about this a work the other day --as kids it seemed time was standing still and now in my 40's where oh where is the time going ??

I know that summer seems to go by faster and winter seems to go slower.

yes it does seem that way..unfortunately..i guess when you get older you pay more attention to it than you did as a kid..lol
