how often do you go on vacation

we always try to take one or two a year but it has been about 2 years since we have had a lot of deaths in our family so we haven't had the extra money to go on one

I've been taking a nice vacation about once every 5 years.  Recently it's going to be more once every other year as I plan to take each of my nieces and nephews on a special trip, and that works out to about one every other year for about the next 15 years.  Kind of nice to have these as "planned" breaks to relax and enjoy myself a bit.

Usually 2 or three weeks a year with 5 or 6 long weekends.

I don't get to go on vacation as much as I would like to.  I am single and that makes going on vacation kind of hard to do because you don't want to go alone.

My husband and I don't go on vacations but we do go visit our children at least once a year usually for a weekend. When we drove a semi-truck together 20 years ago we saw everything we wanted to see together. And the United States is amazing for all that we wanted to see. And to top it off we got paid to travel. It was quite an amazing experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

Not near as many as we used to take. Only in in 7 years right now. Because while aunty was in the nursing home for 3 years we spent out extra time running back and forth on her for 3 years. Then dad got sick and here we go running him back and forth to the doctors and working on things out at his house for another 2 years . got to go on a week long trip last March and now here we are running back and forth to the doctors for me. But  things am praying are winding down on me. If nothing else maybe we can get away for a couple of days once in a while.

Usually we went on two one week vacations each year, plus a few long weekends.  Last year I was diagnosed with cancer so we never went anyplace.  Hopefully I will hear the words cured or in remission, then we will go someplace this summer to celebrate!

I recently went on the first vacation of my life.  It happened because a friend was taking his kids out of town for his sons birthday and he wanted another adult to go with them.
