melted crayon art
« on: February 04, 2015, 12:02:39 pm »
Has anyone ever seen or tried melted crayon art?

I find this type of art very fasinating.. Some of the things you can make out of this version of art are very intriguing.. I think it takes alot of time and patience to pull it off and i don't think i have either but still very fasinating stuff :)

Yes! For Christmas we decorated ornaments with melted crayons. Very cool!

My sons girlfriend made crayon art and it's hanging in their living room. Very cool concept and it looks easy to make but I think it's a bit complex.

I have never heard of this before. I will have to check into it. I waste so many crayons by just throwing them away!!

I have never heard of it. But it does sound colorful. I can imagine the colors splashing over a piece of paper. But the wax is hot. What about burning yourself? I would like to see some. Do you know where? BMaston12

My daughter and a granddaughter have made melted crayon art pictures.

It was not difficult or complicated as someone mentioned.

The crayons "run" in streams/streaks down the canvas as they slowly melt.

That is a good idea, we will try that sometimes. I never see somebody doing it, but sounds like, its not that hard.

I've seen crayon art, the kind where it runs down the canvas in rainbow drips.  It's very pretty.

I think making "art" with melted crayons or even liquid paints (spilled not painted) are the most unusual and interesting pieces out there.

That does sound pretty cool way of expressing your natural artistic ability!

I have seen this and I haven't tried it. But I think it is cool. There was also a Pintrest fail on it too. So I don't know if it is as easy as it looks after all. lol
