When I was a kid I used to like strawberry ice cream but now that I'm in my forties, my tastes have changed. I now prefer plain old vanilla bean, preferably a brand in which I can see all the gritty vanilla pod scrapings! I like to add a touch (or so) of Smuckers chocolate dressings which freeze when it comes into contact with the ice cream, Magic Shell I think it's called. I like my ice cream soft and smooth so I frequently place it in the microwave for 30 seconds before eating. Heaven.
