Stimulants
« on: April 08, 2015, 04:23:20 pm »
I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and one of my symptoms is fatigue.  That being said I'm looking for legal stimulants to help me deal with the fatigue I experience.  I was told I need to give up caffeine.  I was drinking 6 oz. of coffee each day to jump start my metabolism.

Which stimulants have been healthy and effective for you?

My system loved Ma Juang (ephedra) until the FDA decided we should no longer have access to that herb.  Guarana is a stimulant but it's also a source of caffeine.  The same with green tea, white tea, etc.

Any ideas and suggestions?
Have a great day!

I thought most green teas were caffeine free?

I drink 3-5 cups of green tea a day, I really do not like it, but I am trying to lose weigh and it is suppose to be so good for you. I have lost a few inches and very little weight.

I drink coffee but its mostly because I love coffee but when I was on a diet years ago I used to take green tea fat burner pills. They worked with a healthy diet and exercise I lost 100 pounds in 8 months. There are a lot of teas you can take and even some dietary supplements that have caffeine in them. My ma takes something by  kyani that's supposed to give you a boost in the morning so you could always look into that.

Sounds like you need thyroid support, not stimulants.  I eat 2-3 Brazil nuts every day to support my thyroid.  I'm also an egg eater, having two for breakfast most days.  Seaweed is full of the right kind of iodine for your thyroid.  I favor Dr Oz's site for good info.  You can also research natural remedies for your condition online.

Why did you have to give up caffeine? If you can't have it, you probably can't have any stimulant.
