what is good for leg cramps

I've heard that you get leg cramps when you are low in potassium. So try taking pill of potassium. Remember this is a hear say.

I agree with this suggestion. Plus I just heard from a friend of mine whose leg cramps stopped when she started eating a few dried apricots every night before bed. She heard it from her doctor and it worked! I was anxious to share this with those who shared this problem.

And never fear, dried apricots actually taste very good.

Stretching and mainly...WATER!!!  It's because of dehydration.  If you have a real bad problem with it, drinking pickle juice helps.  But getting enough water should take care of it.

I have leg cramps but no more as the dr. gave me a prescption and it helped

I tried eating bananas-didn't work for me.  A tablespoon of mustard helps when I get leg cramps at night. Staying hydrated and taking a magnesium supplement works better for me than anything I've tried so far.

So far since I had my leg cramp experience, I've just been better at drinking more water.
I have not had a recurrence of the leg cramps--Yeah!

But if I do, I know where to come look for some helpful suggestions.....right here in the FC Forum.

I also have them also, I try more potassium and a friend  told me tonic water might help; get them mostly at night when I am asleep and just get up and walk them out or massage my legs. I will read the posts as some members may have some suggestions.
