That's how I feel about it as well. My mom on the other hand loves her kindle. She reads a bit more than I do so I can understand wanting to keep a large number of books on hand without taking up space. And getting them right away.

My son has always been a Kindle man until he got to high school and they required IPads. He reads all of his class work on the IPad and watches all of his movies/television series on it.  My daughter is the opposite.  She likes everything about tangible books: the smell, feeling the pages turn the weight of the book and even other people's recognition of what she is reading (I know-vain!). My wife just got a Kindle and it has taken her five months to get it set up.  She went on vacation this weekend and because she hasn't used her Kindle in a while-has forgotten the password. I am happy to read anything I can get my hands on!  It is so rare that I have a moment to myself that most of my reading comes from my IPhone, magazines, and/or newspapers.

I do believe that I prefer to have a physical book, but also find that it's nice to have e-books/e-readers too. E-books take up much less physical space and can at times be more convenient to read (especially if you're looking to keep it private so as not to draw attention to oneself). If I could, I would probably have a physical copy and e-book copy of every book I have or get, just in case.

Books for sure. Kindle is hard for me to read after an hour or so.

Books. My ex gave me a kindle and it bothered my eyes. I like holding the real thing.

I never thought I would like the kindle, I love it now.  So easy to down load new books.

I prefer a book. There's just something about the smell of a new (or old!) book and the feeling of anticipation as I turn the page that I don't think I could ever get from an e-reader.

I definitely prefer a real book to a Kindle any day too. Not only is there something about the feel of a real book that you just don't get with a Kindle, you can also get real books for free from a library. I hate paying Kindle fees for books although it is nice to have that option if you are travelling out of town and want something to read right away.

I guess I might like a Kindle some day but I so enjoy holding and reading a book that I don't think a Kindle could be nearly the same.

I will always prefer physical books but having an e-reader does have benefits. There are a lot of good free to low cost e-books if you really do some looking.

Haven't used a kindle, but couldn't imagine it's quite the same....as a book.

I have read on a kindle, but I won't do it anymore.  I don't like it at all for obvious reasons plus I like to take notes when I read and mark pages.
